Privacy Policy

Radar helps people discover nearby restaurant offers. This policy explains what information we handle and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

When you sign in, we receive your account identifier, email address, and optional display name from the sign-in provider. We store the restaurants you save, your home postal or ZIP code, and any deal-alert schedule you choose. Deal suggestions may include the restaurant, offer, location, schedule, and the contact email you provide. Product feedback may include its category, message, current market, page, associated deal, and signed-in contact information.

How we use information

We use this information to operate search, preserve favorites, personalize local results, manage community submissions, administer accounts, and deliver notifications you request. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.

Location information

Radar searches using the postal or ZIP code you enter. If you choose “Use my location,” your browser supplies a location for that search only; Radar does not continuously monitor or persist the precise device coordinates. Tracked postal areas can be removed in your dashboard.

Email notifications

Deal alerts are optional and account creation never means marketing consent. Delivery is limited to a controlled pilot: it requires a confirmed consent record, an enabled preference, no suppression, and pilot eligibility. Resend may process delivery, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe events when the pilot is enabled. Every marketing message will provide a way to stop future messages.

Sharing and service providers

Clerk processes authentication. Cloudflare provides application and database infrastructure. Mapbox may resolve a postal or ZIP code to an approximate geographic center when configured, and Resend may deliver opted-in pilot email. We otherwise disclose information only to providers needed to run Radar, when required by law, or to protect the service and its users. Restaurant listing data and source links are public information; your favorites and alert settings are not shown publicly.

Retention and security

We retain account data while your account is active and as reasonably needed for security, legal, and operational purposes. We use access controls and reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can update alert and location preferences in your dashboard, disable email alerts, remove favorites, or sign out. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account data, contact privacy@weareten.ca. Some audit, fraud-prevention, consent, and legal records may need to be retained after other account data is removed.

Children and changes

Radar is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service evolves; the date above will identify the current version.
